“Tomorrow People welcomes newcomer Mark du Mosch as a special guest on Monday September 8th. The Dutch DJ is in Scotland for a Saturday night guest spot, also his UK DEBUT, at Glasgow’s Twisted Wheel (Slabs of The Tabernacle night) and when Slabs resident DJ Andrew Ingram got in touch to say the Dutchman was planning to stay a few days and visit Edinburgh en route back to Rotterdam, it was too good an opportunity to pass up on, so we’ve invited the Slabs residents to come and join Mark on the decks with us at our weekly night at the GRV and are now royally looking forward to it.” – Hobbes.

Tomorrow People
“Kicking things off in the Edinburgh Old Town’s hip and happening GRV bar space every Monday night, The Trouble DJs (Hobbes & Erik d’Viking) are trashing the commercial DJing sensibilities and concerns about ‘moving the floor’ to focus on playing all the really exciting music out there which you haven’t heard before or played to death. Come down with an open mind and a willingness to check out something fresh, something different and something genuinely exciting and new.
The Music: Obscure, upfront and unplayed cosmic, italo, boogie and electro disco (beard music!), dubstep, 2-step, b-more, bassline, bootlegs (only the good ones ones!), re-edits, rarities and obscurities, plus the odd minimal and electronic nugget! Advance releases, blog exclusives, promos, downloads etc.
Tomorrow People, we’re future-retro. Are you?”

Its time for another all day disco session at the Halt Bar! This time we’ve pretty much taken over the line-up to make it the official Slabs after-after party and some of our pals from across the country will be joining us.
Casionova takes the magic carpet up from Brighton and Alex Fildes & Nick The Greek take the M6 up from Liverpool.
It’ll probably kick off at about 1500 hours and take off early evening.. Keep tight hold of yer headphones!

I found a couple of MiniDiscs the other day of sets I had recorded in France from Erik Rug, The Counter Culture Show (Fat City), DJ Deep and Laurent Garnier.
Garnier began another residency at The Rex Club whilst I was there and named the night ‘The Dogs Bollocks’. It was on a Thursday night, started at about midnight and finished whenever he felt like. One set in particular brought back fond memories. This section of the night was recorded 11.01.2001 and was broadcast shortly after on Radio Nova. Once again he delivers yet another great deep house and techno mix.
